Meet Rachel, Human Resources Business Partner

Our people are at the core of our business. We are featuring the amazing individuals who make EGlobalTech an exciting and supportive place to work.

Rachel is a highly valued HR Business Partner who supports the EGT Human Resources Department with a focus on new hire onboarding, employee offboarding, performance management, resource management, and learning & development support across the company. As an HR Partner, Rachel is motivated by connecting with and supporting people.

HR was not the career Rachel originally imagined pursuing. She credits the 2008 recession for blossoming her career when an HR manager’s sudden layoff resulted in Rachel stepping in to backfill the role. She not only quickly acclimated, she earned a valuable SHRM-CP certification, which propelled both her career and passion.

Rachel joined EGT in January of 2020, once again pursing an unfamiliar path taking her into federal consulting. Rachel’s expanding expertise has been demonstrated through great initiatives at EGT, such as revamping the performance management process and formalizing the resource management process. She credits EGT ‘s support for her career growth and values the encouragement she receives as a person. She explains it’s the reason she stepped forward to be June’s spotlight, the month celebrating Pride Month. "After decades of uncertainty, I have recently come out publicly. Each conversation is scary, but also invigorating. My co-workers here at EGT have been so supportive, which provides me a great sense of relief. I am very much looking forward to being a part of the Tetra Tech Employee Resource Group for LGBTQIA+ employees that has launched this month. My hope is that all LGBTQIA+ employees at EGT feel comfortable and welcome to participate in this group, and that you all have the supportive and safe places in your lives and that EGT offers me."

Rachel reflects on success as the pride one feels in themselves. She explains that if one feels proud of what they’ve accomplished at the end of every day, it equals success. One piece of advice that she has been given and continues to reflect on daily that if it were easy, everyone would be great and every day is a reminder to take advantage of the opportunities in front of you and do better than before.

Rachel is family-focused and adventurous spending time with her eight-year-old son, Theo, including as head coach to his basketball team. Rachel enjoys being involved in all sports including dabbling with roller derby and more recently, participating in a cornhole league.

Thank you for all you do Rachel, we are excited to continue watching you grow and be part of the solution at EGT!
