Meet Melissa, EGT Business Solutions Practice Program Manager

Melissa is a standout Program Manager in our Business Solutions Practice leading a team of high performing consultants delivering operations and management expertise across the federal government.
When asked about why she loves federal consulting, Melissa shares “It’s never the same thing and there is almost always the opportunity to resolve a problem or help a team member.” She is excited by new opportunities and happy she made the move to federal consulting in 2010 because she has grown and developed professionally ever since.
Always looking to expand her career with unique challenges, she feels EGT is the right fit for her because “the organization presents me with opportunities to challenge myself with new roles supporting our client and leading programs within the firm. I appreciate that EGT not only celebrates my achievements but also those of my team.” When it comes to defining success as a leader, Melissa says “I get a sense of accomplishment when I’m guiding others in pursuit of their goals and then see them succeed in their professional and personal milestones.”
When asked to point to an interesting or influential prior work experience, she reflected that a stint working as Doula had greatly informed her patience and crafted a deeper appreciation for her own leadership style. The great challenge of assuaging those around her in times of tension imprinted on her how her calming leadership effected the success of those in her charge.
When Melissa is not busy resolving demanding business challenges at EGT, you can find her cooking, traveling, and cheering her daughter’s seasonal sporting endeavors. Additionally, she and her family have been hobbyist in the beekeeping arena for ten years and enjoy helping the bee population while harvesting honey on the side.
