eGlobalTech Launches FedRAMP Advisory Services

As part of eGlobalTechs FedRAMP Advisory Services offering, cloud service providers can request a Readiness Assessment that will help determine if a provider is prepared for the FedRAMP authorization process. This comprehensive assessment aligns to the Programs specific requirements and will facilitate a timely, cost effective, and successful realization of a FedRAMP authorization. We are very excited to announce this new service offering, said Dan Waddell, Senior Director for Information Assurance & Cybersecurity at eGlobalTech. eGlobalTech has been supporting FedRAMP since its inception and thus is uniquely positioned to offer our expertise to cloud service providers who want to do business with Federal Agencies.

eGlobalTech supports the General Service Administration with defining, launching, and managing FedRAMP. Our responsibilities included developing the guideline documents and related security authorization templates hosted on http://www.fedramp.gov.

FedRAMP was enacted in June 2011 and is mandatory for Federal Agency cloud deployments and service models at the low and moderate risk impact levels in accordance with the Federal Information Processing Standard 199. Federal Agencies have until June 2014 to ensure that their cloud service providers meet FedRAMP requirements. FedRAMP requires all Cloud Service Providers applying to FedRAMP to undergo security control testing, including penetration testing, says Laura Taylor, eGlobalTech FedRAMP Program Manager. All vulnerabilities discovered during testing must be closed before the system is authorized for government use.”
