eGlobalTech Vice President Branko Primetica Named to U.S. Cloud Commission

eGlobalTech, a leading federal management and technology consulting firm, announced today that Vice President Branko Primetica has been chosen to be a member of the TechAmerica Foundation’s Commission on the Leadership Opportunity in U.S. Deployment of the Cloud (CLOUD2).

The Obama Administration has prioritized the use of cloud computing technologies across the Federal Government. The CLOUD2 Commission, which is comprised of 71 experts from industry and academia, will provide the Obama Administration with recommendations on how the government should employ cloud technologies, and on public policies to promote U.S. innovation in the cloud. The Commission will present its recommendations to Federal Chief Information Officer Vivek Kundra, Commerce Secretary Gary Locke, and Commerce Under Secretary Pat Gallagher.

According to Mr. Primetica, “Cloud computing represents a paradigm shift in the way we leverage technology solutions. In today’s lean environment, where IT costs are moving from capital expenditures to operating expenditures, organizations need to rethink their IT management life cycle processes. This Commission offers an exciting opportunity for the private sector to present actionable recommendations on how cloud computing can be used effectively to achieve results and to maintain the United States’ leadership in the cloud.”
