DOL Honored with Prestigious Award for Enterprise Architecture Transformation
eGlobalTech was engaged to help the Department of Labor (DOL) develop its Target Enterprise Architecture (EA) for Universal Functions and Transition Sequencing Plan. The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has rated this documentation at 3.63 maturity level - the third highest in the Federal Government.
This rating was due, in part, to the EA's demonstration of interoperability and consolidation throughout the enterprise while demonstrating an integrated governance structure involving EA, Security and Capital Planning. As a result, eGlobalTech helped to develop an award nomination for the e-Gov Institute's prestigious Award for EA Transformation. The Department was honored with this award during the Institute's Fall EA Conference in Washington D.C.
eGlobalTech is currently in the process of developing the Department of Labor consolidated Target Enterprise Architecture and Transition Sequencing Plan, as well as working to implement an IT Standards Process at both the OCIO and agency levels.
eGlobalTech Helps DOL Receive President's Quality Award
Through its support of the Department of Labor's Enterprise Architecture Program Office and Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), eGlobalTech's efforts assisted DOL in achieving a President's Quality Award for Overall Management.
Our efforts in this regard included enabling closer integration between all OCIO Program Areas, identifying opportunities for IT consolidation and reuse, and identifying significant cost savings/cost avoidance throughout the Enterprise. eGlobalTech drafted the successful award nomination on behalf of the Department.
eGlobalTech Clients Receive Top Tier Rankings
Global Tech Incorporated dba eGlobalTech, a leading provider of IT and management consulting services, is pleased to have led the development of two of the top six Enterprise Architectures across the Federal Government for the Department of Education and the Department of Labor. Both clients are included in the top-tier rankings recently announced by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) as a result of their fiscal year 2007 and 2008 Federal Enterprise Architecture (EA) Assessment.
The assessment process included a total of 26 Federal Agencies, which were rated on a scale of 1 to 5 in three major categories -- completion, use and results -- and 13 subcategories as specified in the toughest EA Assessment Framework to-date. Through continuing thought leadership, EA-certification instruction at the USDA Graduate School, and engagement with the Federal community, eGlobalTech is actively working to improve business performance, optimize IT investments, and reduce costs through the use of EA as a strategic planning tool.
