Capital Planning and Investment Control
Past Performance
Obtaining funding for federal information technology investment is becoming increasingly competitive in the face of a tightening US budget. It is critical for all investment, especially the new initiatives, to achieve high scores from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) during the Exhibit 300 and budget justification assessment process. eGlobalTech has enabled our clients to successfully meet this challenge through our in-depth understanding of Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC).
The eGlobalTech approach includes the prioritization and selection of IT investments (through tight integration with Enterprise Architecture), the development and submission of Exhibit 300s and budget justifications to OMB, and regular IT investment performance management and evaluation. Additionally, we have conducted numerous CPIC training programs for federal personnel.
Examples of our past performance include:
Department of Labor: As part of our support of the DOL EA Program, eGlobalTech assessed the quality and completes of all Exhibit 300s using a scorecard process.
Department of Labor - eJudication: Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining this Initiative’s Exhibit 300. eJudication serves as a model IT investment at DOL and has consistently been rated as a “Green” investment through the CPIC Process.
Department of Education: eGlobalTech’s support at ED includes (1) conducing CPIC training sessions for all IT investment owners (2) assessing each Exhibit 300 for compliance with OMB directives and the Department’s architectural vision (3) supporting the development of Exhibit 300s for Enterprise-wide OCIO investments.
