GSA FASA Kicks-off - Contract Awarded to eGlobalTech

ARLINGTON, VA – February 2, 2009 –eGlobalTech, an award-winning consulting firm for the U.S. Government, recently announced that it has been awarded a contract to assist the General Services Administration (GSA) with their Federated Acquisition Segment Architecture (FASA) program. eGlobalTech was awarded the contract through a full and open competition and was acknowledged for proposing a strong technical approach to achieving the goals and objectives for the project.

According to Nick Misty, eGlobalTech Senior Director, “eGlobalTech’s proven experience in developing Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) for the Federal Government was in direct alignment with GSA’s FASA project goals.”

These goals include using EA methodology to enable true business transformation by identifying opportunities for IT modernization, consolidation, and reuse, implementing a SOA, and establishing comprehensive governance structures... eGlobalTech’s methodology recognizes that SOA is a supply and demand framework where customer needs create a demand for services delivered at high performance and quality levels.

Luann Moore, eGlobalTech Project Manager, comments, “The eGlobaltech team brings a unique combination and depth of technical expertise coupled with an understanding of the practical challenges distinct to the Federal Government.  Our team is excited to be involved in such an important program.”

The award was kicked-off in a meeting last week to begin the process of helping GSA add more value to other agencies through this program. The contract will produce a recommended solution with an implementation plan to achieve the goals set forth by the GSA FASA program.
